The fish market and seafood bar offers a wide selection of seasonal seafood with the freshest possible fish. They employ a fisherman in Northern Norway that delivers freshly caught Cod, Monkfish and Halibut within 24 hours of notice.
For Øyvind and his family we designed the concept and layout for both the fish market and the seafood bar. It was important for us to make space for as many guests as possible around the bar without disturbing people wanting to purchase fish. We accomplished this by separating the bar from the market space.
In the design, we used a collection of vibrant tiles, concrete, and large wall drawings made by the Ducth artist Job Reuten. Vulkanfisk is still running strong and we are proud to be a part of their history. This winter they have a Sami lavvu (tipi) were you can dine outdoors!
